Beginning Alis&Lia Kids Meals
My name is Claudia, I am a Nutritionist Consultant and live in Los Angeles. I have two young girls who keep me very busy. As a mom of two I want to be able to give them healthy and tasty meals, a balanced diet, rich in protein, vegetables with no added salt or sugar. They like to eat home cooked meals, but meals that are also quick to prepare using fresh, seasonal ingredients and organic meat, poultry and fish.
My food inspirations come from my different backgrounds and range of experiences. I was born and raised in Germany to Greek parents so my influence was both Greek/Mediterranean and traditional German fare. I then moved to London and lived there for 7 years before moving to Los Angeles.
My parents and I owned restaurants so I was exposed to food from an early age, surrounded by great chefs who taught me about food preparation, further increasing my interest in food.
I was always interested in trying new food and cuisines and making healthy, tasty and nutritious meals. Once I had my children I continued to follow my passion while wanting to give them healthy, home cooked meals and snacks. Most important to me was to introduce different foods and flavors to expand their food experiences and to keep the meals healthy, packed with seasonal vegetables, with no preservatives, no additives, and no added sugars or salt.
I wanted to have a quick and easy solution for patents, to serve their children a prepared, home style cooked meal which tastes delicious and is ready to serve in 3 minutes.
I cook all of my meals without any added salt or sugar, and choose fresh, seasonal ingredients. I don't believe that there needs to be "kids meals" - I have raised my kids to eat the same meals that I enjoy so that they can explore a range of tastes and flavors.
I believe that food is about more than just eating - food brings family together. I hope your kids enjoy my meals as much as my kids do!
